What is DND?
You can register with your service provider's Do Not Disturb registration to stop receiving unsolicited telemarketing calls and texts. Within 45 days, the service provider will register your phone number with the National Do Not Call (ND) registry.
The National Do Not Call Registry (ND Registry) is a database that has a record of all telephone numbers of subscribers who do not wish to receive commercial calls or SMS. Before making a call, telemarketers must check the calling number list in the ND register. So, you may be confident that the telemarketers will not bother you, or they will be punished for contacting you.
Please keep in mind that under the
promotional route, bulk SMS may only be delivered to non-DND phones between the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
You can use the fast transactional and transactional routes to send non promotional SMS to both DND and non-DND phones.
